Heat is an effective method to kill all life stages of bed bugs when temperatures are higher than 122 degrees F. While clothing, bed linens, stuffed animals, and other items can be put directly into the drier, shoes and other items that should not tumble can be placed in a laundry bag that is hung over the door.
